Hyejung Hayes L.AC.

“When the heart is at ease, the body is healthy”

At a very early age Hyejung was an apprentice of Dr. Choi Gui-Ho, a doctor of oriental medicine practicing in Seoul, South Korea. Years later in 2002 after emigrating to the United States Hyejung graduated with honors from the Northwest Institute of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Seattle, where she earned a master’s degree in acupuncture and oriental medicine.

Since then, she has practiced in the Northgate area serving all of Seattle, Shoreline, Edmonds, Everett and beyond.

Hyejung has a passion for helping people to live spiritually-connected, emotionally-balanced and physically thriving lives, helping thousands with myriad acute and chronic health issues, ranging from painful conditions such as arthritis, sports injuries, anxiety, digestive disorders and stress.

Hyejung knows that acupuncture offers so much more than just short-term pain relief – it has the unique ability to balance a patient’s life in a variety of ways, by improving sleep quality, lowering stress levels, improving digestion and otherwise boosting patient vitality.

Hyejung empowers her clients to take an active role in their healing, not only through acupuncture and Oriental herbal medicine, but also by improving their nutrition and lifestyle. She focuses on treating the whole person, not just symptoms, and is deeply interested in the connection between mind and body. She has witnessed time and again the innate healing power that each person has, and the amazing effect that acupuncture has to activate this power within her patients.

She believes, The body has a tremendous ability to heal itself, but sometimes due to prolonged stress or external pathogens, it can get “stuck” or sick. Using acupuncture needles to communicate with the brain and central nervous system, the acupuncturist directs the body where to heal itself.

As energy is unblocked in a patient’s body, a new equilibrium is created, and endorphins and other neurotransmitters are released, and the nervous system encourages healing.

Hyejung is a Washington State-licensed acupuncturist and herbalist, and a NCCAOM board certified and licensed acupuncturist.
